lacus is my goddess. Well, she always was, BUT IN CASE YOU DID NOT KNOW THIS, F-LIST.
- And now for the BIG NEWS TODAY! So last night I went to give my mom money at the bar across the street from us. Her friend and his brother were there and they surprise treated me to a dinner there. So I ate, and it was good! We have three bars within a one block vicinity of our house, and that's the one my mom goes to the most, so.
THE WHOLE BUILDING BURNED TODAY.
I see lights out of the corner of my eye, and look across the street and see a couple of fire trucks in front of the bar/building above the bar. It's a small 5-story building. I see no smoke or anything, so I'm like okay, maybe a small thing or a false alarm. But I keep an eye out! Less than a few minutes later I see some smoke coming from the bar and I'm like WELL THEN, something is happening here. So I hurried and threw on some clothes and my coat and went to see what was happening.
And it was baaad, apparently it was the bar's kitchen that caught first and it spread through about the whole building really fast. By the time I was across the street at the deli on the other side of the street directly across from the bar, they had the ladders up to the roof and everything, and the top floor was smoking. Window breakings, tons of smoke and more and more trucks coming. I see the bar owners and staff across the street like "D:" And yeah, I stood there for well over an hour to watch everything unfold, since it was pretty bad! Stood in the deli with a hot chocolate for a while when I got too cold. Then I saw some familiar faces across the street so went to go talk to them about what was up.
They had to knock the ceiling out of the bar too, and they had the huge ass hoses out. A buttload of firetrucks are still across the street I can see, still. But they've got the fire all out by now. I wonder how the place looks inside, too, it'd gonna be a looong time til they're able to think about reopening again. One of the firemen had to be pulled off because of too much smoke inhalation, but other than that I'm pretty sure all the people got out okay, thankfully.
Then mom got off of work and came home and turned the corner and was just like "....." so when she got home I told her everything. XD
But man, that building's got quite a reputation for holiday/around holiday date fires. There was a third time it happened, too, but I don't remember anything about it - only that it was around these dates. But one Christmas Eve a few years back, a tree in one of the apartments caught fire too, I remember looking up from something and seeing lile lol flames so I was like OMG and went to go wake up my grandpa.
Waaah, though, that was pretty bad! And now I smell like smoke. XD;

gundamseed OH THOSE ADORABLE YOUNG ZAFT BOYS ♥ ♥) and the Carols for a Cure CD. And I didn't go shopping for clothes today due to Stuff That Stopped It From Happening, so that will be later in the week, perhaps. And yes, money for that too which is why I am like OKAY NO MORE STUFF SINCE IT'S ONLY THE 3RD. And to top that off at the start of next month, I need to renew yzak.nu since it's been two years already! Which won't be a terribly huge price, but still. I need to curb my OMG SHINY THINGS WANT temptations. Even though omg shiny things want.
