1) GIP because Gaignun is a studmuffin. And this was one of the like... TWO panels in the anime that he looks good in. XD;
2) More Xenosaga anthologies and the ODM in the mail yesterday! Here are some scans from the ODM and one of the anthologies:
Official Design Materials
- Jr. swimsuit colored art.
- Old Gaignun concept art. I LOL'D.
- Old Elsa Crew concept art.
- Old Shion concept art.
- Old KOS-MOS and Ziggy concept art. Wow, Ziggy.
- The intro page to the URTV section. It... kind of creeps me out.
Anthology
This anthology was awesome, because yes, they are fancomics. But this one also had a section with a bunch of the official art from Episode II! And then an interview with the three female lead seiyuu, a few pages of line-art, the Encyclopedia, and a page that focused on Freaks and Pied Piper. So I found that a real steal for $7.
- Pretty good quality scan from a Pied Piper image.
- The cover.
- Jr., Sakura and MOMO illustration.
- The cutest Jr./Sakura illustration ever.
- Four page comic about Gaignun, Albedo and Jr.: emo Gaignun and mean mean Albedo. Page 1, Page 2, Page 3, Page 4
- Rubedo/Sakura music playing. SO. CUTE. Just a random page from one of the comics.
- Oh, Albedo.
And there was one long comic in here about Gaignun and Jr. that I loved so I scanned the whole thing to show someone. It's so emo, then it gets so CUTE with handholding and the last page is just ... RAUGH back to emo. I have the scans here: Fact and True (page 15 is the cutest omg ;.;)
3) My planned nap has been postponed. I am going to go somewhere today as it is, but because of mom needing to go in to work early, I have to get something sent out for her overnight, so she's like "go to the post office THE MOMENT IT OPENS TO MAKE SURE THE OVERNIGHT DELIVERY GETS IT!" But the post office doesn't open for a little bit, yet, so I am luuurking. And need to make a phonecall or two before I head out to make sure I don't go somewhere for nothing. XD;
4) Did I mention? There are FIVE cats out back. The three young ones, the one we thought was the mother ... and then another one showed up! They caught the three little ones I think, to spay/neuter them and put them back so they don't breed and we don't get more. They apparently caught the mother too, and, haha, she's pregnant! But thankfully we know this now, so the to-be-born kittens will be able to be caught early early on, and sent to homes. ♥
5)
Mostly to see if I FORGET ANY DETAILS since I went to school down there and it was crazy times that day! That and I like typing.
So I was in CLASS like a good girl, with the awesome Humanities teacher in our small class, since we had a special thing set up for people who failed or just failed a class or two, so they would be able to catch on up that year. It was awkward since I was with people who were uhm. XD Well, types who CUT CLASS and DRANK and SMOKED WEED and were like two years older than me. But despite that, I remember those classes being the best because they were actually pretty cool and hilarious dudes. Class was never boring. That school was never boring.
ANYWAY back on topic, one of the late arrivals comes in announcing that the cause of his LATENESS was because he was on a bus going crosstown and was right down in the area when that first plane hit. So, the teacher being cool, let us put on our walkmans and stuff to find out what was going on. I went to school on the Lower East Side, and the buildings were on the Lower West, which is distance enough that we didn't need to worry about anything but close enough that I wanted to SEE what was happening.
So being the winner that I am, I made an excuse to go to the office to get something, since their window had a view.
So I went! And yes building, smoke, still singular, the other building was there and still intact and halfway covered by another building, but we could still see it. Since the staff was, obviously, suddenly busy with calls and getting news and stuff, I got to stick around for a while. The way the building in the way covered the other tower was enough that we wouldn't be able to see anything actually hit the other building, but suddenly we get a very clear view of FIRE AND EXPLOSION suddenly shooting out from it. And wow it was FREAKY and the windows shook from the impact and we were all just like "... well!"
So I decide NOW I'm probably not going to get what I needed in the office, so went back to inform the class of what I have seen, which I think back then was me running in like "oh shit guys the other tower just exploded!" so the rest of that class was us just listening to radios, talking about this obviously being an attack, until one of the students in the class chimes in that he just heard that the Pentagon got attacked and exploded too. I think at that point I finally went "oh shit" and got kind of FRIGHTENED.
Second period was gym, and while not many people were actually going to class by that time, we did. Because the gym teacher had a TV. So we went to the class and naturally, he had the news on and we were all just kind of like ... wow. The gym teacher disappeared for a short time, and that was when the first tower fell, I remember because when it happened we could feel the ground slightly rumble, one girl ran out of the classroom when she felt it, and the gym teacher walked in like 10 second later. And thought we were kidding when we said one of them just went down because he had just come down from the school roof; he was like "no way, I was just up there and they were still both standing".
Once that class ended, it was pretty much no class for anyone, I managed to call my mom at one point, who said she was going to start walking down since the school wasn't going to let anybody out alone. And I just really remember hanging out with Lisa and my friends. Most of which were panicing since a lot of people who went to school there all lived in the area and near the site. I remember one guy in particular, Louis who was in our little "group" of friends was crying since he literally lived only a couple/few blocks from there.
Theeen the school decided to go to the train in a group with the vice-principal, once schoolday ended. And I was like shit, since my mom was probably well on her way down so I couldn't leave, so I had to sit there and wait for her. And with the happenings that day, she took forever to get to the school.
Once she did, we walked toward the main avenue nearby to try and find a way home. The bridges were by then completely shut down and we could see all the people just walking across it, and just all the smoke and you could smell it from there - and later I could smell it from uptown at home, it was pretty surreal! The MTA transportation was all free to get anybody home, so we hopped on a bus back uptown. I think I spent the rest of the day just watching the news.
I STILL REMEMBER PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING. o/

more kitties, it's a kitty party!! ^0^
i remember first hearing about the Towers, and i laughed because i thought it was a joke until i got home from school and turned on the TV..and there were a lot of jerks that said we should go home because of what's happening while a lot of other kids were freaking out because they had family members that lived and worked near the Towers

IT IS A GIANT KITTY PARTY I'm just happy that the next bunch coming will be able to go to homes. ;_; I was sad when the people said the ones there now were a little too old for it so sending them to a shelter would have ended in them getting put down. :\ Which is a NO.
Yeaaaah my school was CRAZY because so many people lived or worked in the area so it was like. D: I know my mom said she got a bunch of phonecalls from people like "DOESN'T TARA GO TO SCHOOL DOWNTOWN!!1"

And...aww at all the URTV luv. <3
Hooray for catching some of the kitties! Any names, yet? XD
And, wow, you are the only person on my flist to mention 9/11. :O
Your story was really interesting...I cannot imagine what it would have been like to live there when that happened. I very clearly remember the day it all happened, too. I was in class...an Algebra class of some sort. And I remember someone coming in and he didn't know what was going on, nor did he know any details, but he said a plane crashed into a building in New York and I remember laughing with a few students and joking about how sucky a pilot he was (we thought it was a joke or no one had been hurt). But then our teacher came in with some more news about it and actually saying it was the Twin Towers and we all realized how serious it was. Most eerie thing? The page we had to open up to in our books had a picture of the WTC in it. By about third period they started dismissing classes because everyone was too distracted. I recall one girl saying her father was currently at the Pentagon on some kind of trip.
I lived in Florida at the time, by the way.

No! Other people caught them so I still need to find out what gender they are. XDD
It was weird living in the city when it did! :o I went to school for a whiiiile after that and all downtown you could smell it for weeks. But yeah. My mom thought the same thing you did, she was in bed and the news was on low and she assumed it was one of those tiny one/two person ones people fly around until she heard the OH SHITS on TV when the other one hit. But yeah, with something like that it's hard to concentrate at all. XD But yeep, that must have been scary for her. D:!
