Okay and now (with added apologies for the spam) I have a very important friendslist question!

My camera is ... old. I got it back when I was still babysitting Ayla. Now, many pictures come out good on it still! In comparison to like, newer ones. But that's only with flash and on certain settings, which does not jive well in certain environments. With other settings like no flash and stuff, any pictures I take come out blurry. Because if you move even a tiny little millimeter when you are snapping (which nobody can help but do, we're talking that small of a movement) it screws up. The same goes for if the person in the picture is moving.

My camcorder's built in phone looked nice from the pics I took on it in the actual recorder, since I could take pics and they wouldn't look as shitty as my camera if there was movement. But upon uploading them as many of you will see, they didn't come out very good.

Long story short, my next goal is a new digital camera. And I want ... not a crazy expensive one, but a good one that can take crisp, clear pictures on any setting unlike my current one. And not have a huge problem with movement blurs and the like.

Does anybody have good cameras like that? Or does anybody know any reliable brands (that are not rapingly expensive)? If your own camera fits this description, I'd love to know what kind it is. I would be so very appreciative if anybody could help out. o/

I have a Canon PowerShot SX100 IS, and I fucking love it. It was a gift, so I don't know exactly how much it was, but it's amazing and I know that Canon has a bunch of really great digital cameras at a lot of price ranges.

I have an older version of this. (http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=183&modelid=16336) and it works fine for me.

My brother is lending me his Nikon Coolpix S210 and it's a really, really nice camera. 8.0 megapixles and so far from my tinkering with it, it detects the lighting and all that.

I have Canon PowerShot A540 and it works perfectly fine me :) Tried it on when I was in Potsdam :) Shouldn't be that expensive now :)

I have a Panasonic Lumix FX07 (in fact, the exact camera is here). It's good about reducing blur from handshake, has a decent zoom and the like. The Lumix product line uses Leica lenses, which my camera nerd Dad says are a Good Thing.

Newer cameras in the Lumix line are $400+, but the models that are a couple years old are still good and are much more affordable o/!

I bought a Canon Powershot a few years back and immediately after, my Dad's Kodak died of old age. He tried out my camera and liked it so much he immediately, same day, bought his own Canon. And then bought my Mom one for Xmas last year.

I've got a Sony Cybershot DSC-W80, which is actually an older model now, but it still takes GREAT shots, it's got the Super Steadyshot which helps with the whole blur thing, and I've always loved Sony, and been very happy with the cameras I've gotten from them.

Plus the next model up from mine is only like.. 197 or something like that at Target right now.

It's actually a good time to buy cameras, because they're gonna start going clearance for the fall rollover. You should shop around stores in your area because there might be some pretty good deals.

Just whatever you do don't get a Samsung. Samsung makes great phones and great TVs but their cameras are shit.

i have a Panasonic DMC-TZ4. As much as i love those glam cam's that photo crazy people use, i'm just rather lazy in having to carry such a huge thing with me all day. And the camera that i have right now is actually really good, takes good clear pictures and there's already a successor to it so you can try and see.
